I Peter 3:21-22

So, indeed, in the same way, baptism as a result of sincere repentance in the place of the mark impressed upon (aka: antitype - as in the mark mentioned in the previous verse...., that of the eight in the ark having gone through baptism in the ark, which, as is clearly seen by looking at the meanings and root words for pitch & pitch in Genesis 6:14, is a type of Christ - a mark which is an antitype with the emphasis upon the saving work of Christ...., the mark would not have happened without obedient faith in God's plan of salvation.....) is just now, at this time saving you  (or is it ..... 'is immediately saving you'?).

No mere looking away from what was put aside, that is, the filth that is put aside; but rather a persisting joining of the moral and spiritual conscience aware of being created in the Divine imagine, a self-judging consciousness, with a free will knowing what is right from wrong;
